The DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) is excited to announce that Operation Dropbox is now open, and donation sites across DuPage County are open and are ready to collect items for local veterans and their families.

“Operation Dropbox is a simple but meaningful way for people to help veterans in our community,” said Adam Forker, Executive Director, DuPage County Health Department. “Every donation makes a difference, and we are grateful for everyone who chooses to give.”

Accepted donations include new hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and basic household goods. Donations will be collected through July 30 and can be dropped off in a box in the lobby of the Indian Prairie Public Library at 401 Plainfield Road.

After the donation drive ends, DCHD will take part in a state-required emergency preparedness exercise. Staff and Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) volunteers will use the donated items to practice unloading and distributing supplies, just as they would during a real emergency. This hands-on training helps DCHD respond quickly and safely when the community needs help.
